With this installation, 1 million m3 of kerosene vapour and 250 tons of “off-spec” kerosene is processed a year and provides a continuous energy production of electricity and heat with an equivalent of some 500 households. This energy will be used on the airport it self and gives a saving of approx. € 100.000 a year.
Klaas Winters: “With this installation we not only preserve the health of our working force, but we see an enormous financial advantage and most of all we make a contribution to the earth’s atmosphere.”
The project on Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is a joint venture of IPCO Power; development and production of the
KVPS, Imtech; system integrator and project management and Biosoil; Air, Soil and Water pollution specialist.
