Kerosene vapour, released during loading and discharging, is one of the major polluters at and around airports. It affects the environment but not in the least the health of the workers, passengers and neighbours of airports. Kerosene slops, a residue during tank draining, is another product that also affects on the environment. It has to be incinerated which is also a loss of product.
